High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) allows video and audio signals to be transmitted over a single cable. If the sound's output does not automatically switch to HDMI, then you need to switch manually. When you connect the HDMI cable to the computer, there is no sound output from the HDMI. However, sound still comes from the computer's speakers or headphones connected to the computer.
Switch sound output to HDMI, please follow the steps below:< /p>
1. Click Start, Control Panel. Select hardware and sound.
2. Click Manage Audio Devices. In the window that opens, the current playback devices will be listed.
3. Among the listed devices, select the device description as HDMI or Digital Audio, and click Set as Default. A green icon will show that this device is selected as the current output device. Click OK to close the current window.
Audio should now play through the HDMI output.
